This car has been meticulously maintained. I am an aircraft engineer by trade and I have maintained this car to a similar standard. Most of the work was done because I wanted to future proof the car and make it ultra reliable. This work has all been done within the past 5 years .
Engine - New turbo (including all gaskets and fixings), vac pipes, recirc valve, recirc solenoid, boost solenoid, cam belt, uprated water pump and pulleys, radiator, spark plugs, coil pack, battery, MAF sensor, MAP sensor, crank position sensor, Lambda sensor, Courteney rolling roll remap (230 BHP), custom exhaust that allows you to interchange the cat with a decat pipe in about 30 minutes, Filter to turbo/turbo to intercooler and intercooler to intake pipes replaced, oil and filters changed every 12 months, expansion tank with cover, Fuel filter. Needless to say, it runs absolutely perfectly.
Chassis - Lanoguarded every year, new nylon self lubricating wishbone bushes, drop links, track rod ends, 8x ball joints, pads/discs, overhauled Bilstein dampers. Every nut, bolt and washer connected to the wishbones has been replaced, hub carrier bolts, rear toe links, Rota Titan wheels.
Body - I had a few imperfections sorted about 2 years a go by a fibreglass specialist so the car presents very nicely. I've kept the work order that details the work that was done but it was all quite minor. New stainless steel undertray fixings, sill covers, front bonnet pull re-located to door jam, colour coded re-trimmed OEM hardtop. the soft top is in mint condition, Lotus hardtops splitter and a Type116 diffuser. Custom spoiler extension.
Interior - There is wear on the drivers seat bolster, other than that it is in really good condition. I have made up some diamond pattern back pads for the seats that look nice and work really well.
I have receipts for absolutely everything so the service history is extremely good. I always get very positive comments at the VX220 national event about how the car looks and how well it goes. I've got many spare parts that I'll let go with the car, everything you would need to put it back to standard and much more (including a full set of standard wheels with good tyres). If I get the asking price the new owner can have it all, including the hard top. This car is 100% ready for its next owner to enjoy.
