Description

Reluctantly putting my 2011 Honda Civic Type R GT up for sale. Don't be put off by the mileage, a well looked after K20 will last forever. 2011 was the final model year of the FN2 Type R, so it has all the updates made throughout the production run like HID headlights, TPMS and Aux input. It's also in the desirable Alabaster Silver, not notorious for lacquer peel like the red cars. It comes with 2 keys and FSH with 14 stamps, 8 at Honda. The most recent service was 09/2025 at 157,180 miles. It has MOT until January 2027 with one advisory being that a wheel is slightly distorted, but it holds air and balances fine and there are no vibrations while driving. I've done a HPI check which has come back clear that I can show you. Externally, it presents very well for its age and mileage and is very straight down the panels. I refurbished the wheels myself last year. The paint has not flaked off when pressure washing or anything but the finish is not to the quality of a professional. They are wrapped in a matching set of Pirelli tyres from 2024 with plenty of tread. There are 3 blemishes (pictured) to note: - A scratch on the passenger side front wing. - Two small scrapes near the rear passenger side wheel arch. - Lacquer is starting to fail at the top of the A-pillar on one side, maybe it had a smart repair there. The interior is in excellent condition for the mileage with no rips or tears and a full set of original Type R floor mats. There is some minor wear to the drivers seat bolsters and gear shift gaiter. Mechanically, it's in good shape. The dealership I bought it from provided me pictures of the engine with the rocker cover removed, and it looked clean for the mileage. They said it looked to have had a new timing chain at some point, but I have no receipt for it. Chain doesn't rattle on cold start so I believe this to be true. It drives well with no issues and VTEC engages nicely at 5500rpm as it should. There is a tapping from the front subframe over bumps, this is a known issue on these where dirt gets inside, Honda HQ in the Midlands fix this for 65 but it never bothered me. In the last year it's had - Replacement front discs, pads and calipers - New radiator + coolant change - Front drop links - Clutch fluid change @ Honda - New A/C condenser + compressor + regas (blows cold) - Rear brake hoses - Rear shock replaced to match other side. Test drives welcome with *comprehensive* insurance. I'm in no rush to sell so please no silly offers.
