Description
A well-maintained and reliable example of the iconic Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon. This 2001 V8 petrol model has been in the same family from new, reflecting a long history of careful ownership and consistent upkeep.
Although the DVLA logbook shows 2 former keepers, the vehicle has effectively remained within the family since day one. It has always been maintained and serviced in-house, with a dedicated full-time mechanic ensuring it is kept in excellent mechanical condition.
The vehicle originally featured the factory hydraulic suspension system, which was professionally replaced with a conventional spring and shock setup after the system stopped working. It now runs on standard springs and dampers, with no hydraulics fitted. The car drives beautifully with no issues whatsoever.
At one point, the vehicle was fitted with an LPG (gas) system. This has since been removed due to minor issues and no longer being required. However, the V5 logbook still records the vehicle as petrol and natural gas, which results in a significantly lower road tax cost, an added benefit for the next owner.
The car presents very well for its age, clean, tidy, and clearly cared for. The underside shows minimal rust, as visible in the photos, and the overall condition is solid throughout. Everything is in proper working order.
As expected for a vehicle of this age, there are some minor age-related marks, but nothing that detracts from its overall appeal.
Mileage: 230,530 (currently in use, so may increase slightly)
Recently passed MOT
No advisories (all clear)
Converted to spring and shock suspension (no hydraulics)
LPG system removed (V5 still shows petrol/natural gas - lower road tax)
Clean and well-kept interior and exterior
Mechanically sound and regularly maintained
Drives superbly with no issues
We understand the car may be priced slightly above some market examples, however this reflects the level of care, maintenance, and history behind it. No expense has ever been spared in maintaining this vehicle, with regular servicing carried out by our own mechanic throughout its life. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find examples that have been this well looked after and remain this honest mechanically.
This vehicle also carries a great deal of sentimental value to our family, so we would genuinely like to see it go to a good home where it will continue to be appreciated and cared for.
