Description
An exceptional, highly original UK supplied C16 example, finished in Basalt Black metallic with Graphite Grey leather, beautifully specified with Tiptronic S transmission, electric sunroof, body coloured wheels and Porsche CDR22 head unit with 6-disc autochanger.
Originally supplied by JCT600 Brooklands Porsche, Leeds and first registered on 1st January 2002, the car has had just six owners in total over the last 24 years. I purchased the car directly from a long-standing client after discussing it with him for several years beforehand.
The provenance, condition and maintenance history are exceptional. The original service book is fully stamped with 18 service entries, supported by an extensive history file. Correct N-rated Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres are fitted all round.
Importantly, this is a 996 Turbo maintained proactively rather than reactively. Major servicing including spark plugs and drive belt has been completed, along with air conditioning condensers, front discs and pads, brake fluid servicing and further detailed preparation work throughout its life.
Most recently, the car benefited from further expenditure just weeks ago, including a brake fluid service and complete refurbishment of the rear spoiler hydraulic rams, an area experienced 996 Turbo buyers will know can become problematic with age.
The latest service was carried out by respected Porsche specialists Quorn Sports and Classics at 46,642 miles, leaving the car ready to be enjoyed immediately by its next custodian.
Powered by the legendary Mezger twin turbocharged engine, derived from Porsche's GT1 programme, the 996 Turbo remains one of the most usable, robust and understated modern classic 911s. Combined with four wheel drive and Tiptronic S transmission, it delivers effortless performance and real-world usability in equal measure.
Condition wise, the car is remarkable. The usual heavy stone chipping to the nose, front wings and luggage lid simply is not present to the degree normally seen on a 24 year old 911. The overall presentation is a genuine credit to its former ownership and careful use throughout its life.
Increasingly, knowledgeable Porsche buyers are recognising the value proposition the 996 Turbo represents within the wider Porsche market, particularly exceptional, unmodified examples with provenance and history such as this. Importantly, it also becomes eligible for export to Australia under the 25 year ruling in October 2026.
