VW Caravelle / Transporter / Day Van / Roof Tent T5 (T5.1 facelift) Really well presented and smart looking 2008 T5 Caravelle 2.5 TDI (executive) 6 speed manual HPI Clear 169k miles Reflex Silver MOT March 2027 2 keys Recent oil and filter service. Vehicle has had a replacement engine with approximately 20k miles less so 149k now. This is a gear driven engine so there is no cam belt or chain to replace. New clutch / DMF and slave cylinder New brake fluid / master cylinder Four new tyres Recent new exhaust and DPF filter Good pads and discs all round Tow bar with 7pin electrics (used once) Brand new Ventura roof tent, including awning and thermal liner (never slept in ) cost over 1000 Stitches an steel canopy Stick on window blinds - for privacy / sleep when camping Front passenger swivel seat Pioneer head unit with Apple car play / android auto / DAB radio Electric sliding doors / heated seats / electric folding mirrors Self built bed extension / boot storage unit Rear bench seat on rails which folds flat in to part of the bed Integral sun blinds in the rear windows Vehicle drive well and achieves 30-35 mpg on a long run. Bodywork generally good, with no dents but a few marks here and there Interior condition, again generally good with a few marks here and there. I have carried out lots of work on this vehicle over the last two years, far too much to mention and genuinely thought I would never sell it, we have had many fantastic family trips away in it and had planned many more (hence the new roof tent) but our plans have now changed, this VW looks great and is a pleasure to drive. It's all ready to go, comfortably fit a family of four / five for day trips or camping trips, just in time for summer. There are a few things to mention, as with all older vehicles 6th gear is notchey to select when cold and lower speeds , this came about after the engine replacement. When the box is warm it gets better. No crunches etc and drives perfectly fine when selected. Air conditioning works but needs re gas, seals or condenser issue as it lost the gas pretty quickly after it was re gassed last year. Stone chip in windscreen, no issues just passed MOT. Electric doors, drivers can be temperamental to close on the handle. Both doors work perfectly using the buttons on
