BMW 323i convertible - year 2000 Description: manual 5-speed, right hand drive, petrol, colour blue, mileage 177,000, air-con, radio/CD player, location Hove, East Sussex. I've had this car for over 17 years. Best car I've ever had, though my wife now has difficulty getting in and out, so we don't use it as much as we did. I was about to advertise it for sale when the head gasket unexpectedly went. So it's time for me to regretfully pass it on to someone else who will give it the TLC it deserves. The car still looks excellent and is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to do a full repaIr and restoration job on what will soon be a classic BMW. It's far too good to scrap. It has been regularly serviced and looked after during the 17 years in my ownership and in spite of its high mileage - apart from the gasket issue - the mechanics otherwise and the bodywork are in excellent condition. The light grey leather interior is showing its age, but that's only to be expected after 26 years. Its six cylinder 2.5 litre engine is probably one of the best BMW engines - smooth and powerful. My previous BMW - a 320i with basically the same mechanics was still going strong at 230,000 miles. The MOT is valid until April 2027. As a year 2000 model, the road tax at 360 is far less than models registered a year later. The car is certainly a future classic.
