Description

MK5 Golf GTI Selling due to not needing to travel for work. Always been reliable. - AXX Golf GTI - 152614 miles (may go up slightly) - Part Service history - some VW main dealer and then independent (serviced in August 2025) - Cambelt, water pump, Cam Chain & Tensioner replaced - Edition 30 interior: heated front seats (drivers side not working) - BBS CH 003 alloys - Headlining redone - Airconditioning system refreshed and regassed - New OEM shocks with Eibach lowering springs - Bluetooth head unit w Apple CarPlay capability - HID headlights & Edition 30 Cherry Red rear lights. The bodywork needs some TLC - no integral rust but the paint has faded quite significantly on the bonnet and the drivers rear quarter. I've enclosed a few pictures detailing the main areas. Other bits: - EML: as the car runs a Stage 1 tune the EML light is on - Power Steering light: I've had this investigated we can't find the source of it, it comes on and off. The steering has no issues nor is the power steering reservoir leaking - Light Defective: HID lights are fitted thus resulting in this light - Airbag light: The car used to have a sound system which caused a couple of the lights. The wiring has been removed, the airbags have been tested and they are in working order. This would be an MOT failure if they were defective and my tester is pretty strict. - Drivers Door: the locking mechanism works but it won't open from outside. So I slide the window down and unlock. I have been told this is a common issue with the Golf, the fix is a new mechanism in the wheel arch which is not a significant amount of money This car has been a stable workhorse of mine for the past 18 months. I've really enjoyed the GTI experience. It is a 20 year old car so there are some issues however it's never let me down nor has it ever been a problem. I'm not using it as thus I need to move it on
