Cylinder 3 is misfiring and compression of cylinder 3 is reduced by 3.5 bar, my trusted VW specialist estimates it is a valve issue or cylinder wall damage, but cannot know for sure without stripping the engine. Estimated repair cost minimum 3000. The spark plugs+coils have been ruled out. Just shows a Cylinder 3 misfire code with no additional error info. There are two other codes which have been present for a year and seem unrelated, P1068 P1571. This car has had 8 new spark plugs and coil packs 1 year ago and 8 new fuel injectors 6 months ago. MOT passed in February 2026 and started misfiring in March 2026. Very rare spec meteor grey with red interior and carbon fibre interior trim, with 20 inch RS4 wheels and a stage 1 remap. Very low mileage for its age. In its current state the car is able to drive but with reduced power and shaking/jerking on idle, due to this and SORN status I cannot allow test drives.
