Early carburettor model. Fully restored approximately 20 years ago at cost of many thousands of pounds and countless hours. The car was stripped to a bare shell, the body restored with many new panels then repainted in the original SVO special order black. An Escort RS turbo interior and steering wheel were fitted together with electric windows and door mirrors. A later mk 4 dashboard and instrumentation was also fitted at the time. The engine was rebuilt with a Kent high lift cam. Jamex uprated and lowered suspension fitted together with RS Turbo front brakes. When I purchased the car in 2024 and some 17 years after restoration it had covered less than 300 miles. Needless to say, with such little use, a certain amount of recommissioning was required. More recent work includes a new Burton sports exhaust. Cambelt kit fitted (5/6/24). Carburettor overhaul, retune and rolling road check by Aldon Automotive. A new windscreen has recently been fitted. The car also benefits from bronze tinted glass, a tilt/slide sunroof and pop out rear quarter windows. Last serviced 18/9/25. Tax and MOT exempt, although car does have current MOT until May 2027. Mileage is unwarranted.
