2017 Jaguar F-Type R AWD Supercharged 5.0 V8 - Italian Racing Red - Low Tax Model Registered April 2017, making this one of the desirable lower road tax bracket cars at just 195 per year. Finished in Italian Racing Red metallic, this F-Type R AWD is powered by Jaguar's legendary 5.0L Supercharged V8 producing 550PS combined with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres shooting from 0-60mph in around 3.6 seconds. The AWD system is rear-wheel biased in normal driving for a true sports car feel, automatically sending power to the front wheels when required for grip and stability. Rain/Ice/Snow mode shifts the balance closer to 50/50 for added confidence in poor weather. A highly sought-after model year as it predates the later OPF/GPF exhaust filters and sound restrictions fitted from 2018 onwards, meaning this retains the raw factory V8 soundtrack these cars are known for. The exhaust valves, a common F-Type weak point, have been professionally replaced with stainless steel upgraded valves by Modstock UK with lifetime warranty. At the same time a rear back-box modification was carried out to enhance the factory pops, bangs, burbles and V8 roar when the valves are open. In normal mode the car remains quiet and refined, but in Dynamic mode the sound becomes far more aggressive and engaging. I have covered only around 9,000 miles during my 2.5 years ownership. Some photos show a genuine Jaguar F-Type SVR carbon fibre active spoiler fitted. This has since been professionally removed by a Jaguar specialist and reverted back to the standard spoiler.
