Reluctantly selling my lovely little 1974 MK1 Ford Escort 1600 4 Door (Shaven doors). Have had endless fun over the last couple of summers with this car and I've never seen something bring so many smiles to peoples faces when driving around in it. Unfortunately selling for financial reasons. This is a south African vehicle which I imported to the UK in 2024, all fully UK registered now. Car is rust free benefitting from living in the dry climate most of its life. Has been stored in a dry garage since arriving in the UK and only driven during good weather in the summer. Car has an original Kent 1600 engine with 40 Weber DCOE side drafts mated to a 5spd Sierra gearbox. Currently has an after market ' F1' exhaust which sounds amazing but is fairly loud but will bring a huge smile to your face every time you press the accelerator. Front windows are electric. Bluetooth/usb retro style radio. The vehicle could do with a little bit of love overall, the carburetor for example could do with a bit of a service but in general but all round drives amazing for a 50 year old car and amazing to have a rust free car of this age at this price point. Paintwork is obviously immaculate. New battery recently fitted. Any questions please ask.
