BMW E60 525i, with the very smooth and quiet M54 straight six and fabulous hydraulic steering, undoubtedly the last generation of driver's 5 Series. Current owner a doctor, I bought this car as a temporary stopgap and it has served me well and in comfort, however I do not require it anymore and I would like to see it be moved on to someone who will look after it. Good bits ULEZ Compliant! Low mileage for year at 121k miles. Previous owners were from the same family, a mature owner keeping it for a total of 14 years and BMW enthusiast maintained. It has had a thorough mechanical freshen up including oil change, oil filter, air filter, cabin filters, spark plugs, new battery, front brake pads, front drop links, rear brake lines, valve cover gasket and auxiliary belts (preventative maintenance). Additionally, 4 brand new tyres were fitted for the last MOT. All the receipts for this maintenance are available. All the mechanicals are perfect, the car is barely audible at idle, pulls sweetly and gearbox change is silky smooth. The bad bits: Being 21 years old, the bodywork is not perfect, with marks all around and some lacquer peel to the bonnet. However, the car still looks very presentable, and all the panels are straight. I was originally planning to have a replacement bonnet fitted and have the car detailed + machine polished to get it looking top. I no longer have a need or the time to. Should a new owner want to do this it would transform it. There was only 1 key when I bought it, which is the spare. This car, not unusually, has the old BMW niggle of a minor oil leak. This is suspected to be from the OFHG or VANOS line, again a task I was wanting to tackle but haven't had time to. The leak is minor and unlikely to fail an MOT, has passed multiple times previously. The oil leak presents as just slight spotting. Don' be put off as 99% of BMWs from this era will have this, just mentioning with honesty. There is only part service history, previous family lost service book (before iDrive service records). However, receipts for all of the above maintenance is available. Car located in Wembley, London. Test drives only with insurance and licence proof. Please no time wasters or tyre kickers, I don't have the time or patience.
