If you want a car that costs almost nothing to own, this little Suzuki Alto is hard to beat. It's the 1.0 SZ 996cc, three-cylinder petrol so you're looking at around 60+ mpg, just 20 a year road tax, and insurance group 1, which makes it about as cheap as motoring gets. Perfect as a first car for a new driver or a sensible second car for the family. It's a 2013 model in white, with a fresh MOT running through to the end of July, and it comes with full service history so you know it's been looked after. It's only ever been in our family two owners, both of us and cared for the whole time. Genuinely nippy and easy to park around town. Just the odd age-related mark here and there, nothing major, and the mileage is as shown in the pics. Cars this cheap to run don't hang around.
