MG Midget 1500 convertible, hard +soft top +roll bar, 1980 ready drive away KENT Here we have a lovely MG Midget in completely original specification, including factory hard top and roll over bar, very good interior and very good paint, ready to enjoy the Summer. Purchased having been dry-stored since 2007, understood to have been the subject of a complete restoration in 2003 including full respray in the original paint colour (orange/red), new sills fitted, all new suspension joints, brakes, carburettor overhaul, electrics overhaul and new soft top fitted. The car has then been stored and only put back on the road recently, registered as a historic car, so tax and MOT free it runs and drives really well, with a good ride and stops on the button. With the car is a hard top, a new soft top (still needs finishing to fit perfectly), factory fitted roll hoop under leatherette cover, stereo with speakers fitted against the rear bulkhead, full carpet set including rear space and boot, spare wheel with new tyre, chrome wheel trims over original restyle steel wheels and four tyres with good tread. Very good interior throughout, good seat material with. no tears, nice clean dashboard and a Moto-Lita leather steering wheel. Stickers on the car show this has been previously loved, MG Owners Club and period tax disc in the windscreen, owners manual and no boot full of spares, just a back-up fan belt. Unfortunately there's no file of invoices or history with this car, but I do have the V5 and the car is taxed with the DVLA as a historic vehicle, so is free and being a 1980 car is tax free. I've owned a few of these and this is one of the best, it has had a lot of work done, including bushes, all perishable rubbers replaced, carb overhaul with new heat deflector, and the electrics gone through so that now everything works including gauges, wipers, indicators and lights. Not a concours winner, but could be, and very useable - excellent reliability with steady temperature even in traffic. The car is based near Folkestone in Kent, could be driven away. Buyers must collect, deposit via bank transfer or PayPal will secure with balance on collection. I am not a dealer, so whilst I don't mind hearing about what you're selling, I don't want a part-exchange and I won't take silly offers - this is too nice, but sensible offers considered.
