Description
1985 Land Rover Defender 110 - 7 Seats. I purchased this Defender in March 2009 from its previous owner, who had owned it since 1998 after it was released from MOD service and registered for road use in the UK. He was exceptionally meticulous, keeping detailed handwritten records of every repair, service, MOT, and receipt throughout his ownership, all of which have been carefully preserved.
We have every MOT, every works invoice, full detailed records of all repairs and full HISTORY.
Over the last 17 years, I have covered only around 9,000 miles in the vehicle. In July 2022, it underwent a comprehensive restoration costing approximately GBP12,000 - see pictiures for the detailed repairs, new bulk heads, new everything, whilst keeping as a much of the original fixtures and fittings as possible.
Since then it has covered just 1,500 additional miles. The Defender is currently garaged and will be sold with a full 12 months' MOT. This Defender has been far more than just a vehicle to our family, it has been part of our story. When we bought it, my two boys were just 3 and 5 years old. It carried us on countless family adventures, picnics, camping trips, and weekends away. It was there for so many memorable moments, including helping local people during floods when they became stranded. To my boys, climbing into the Defender to help someone in need made us feel like superheroes. Those little boys are now in their twenties, and as life has moved on, the Defender has spent more time parked away than exploring the countryside. As difficult as it is, the time has come for it to find a new home. I would love to see it go to someone who truly appreciates Land Roverstheir heritage, character, and timeless appeal. This is a vehicle with history, personality, and a lifetime of memories behind it. My hope is that its next owner will cherish it as much as we have and that it will continue to create new adventures and lasting memories for another family for many years to come.
