Description
2006 BMW Z4 3.0si Coupe, manual, black, 99,000 miles. One of the rarer Coupe variants only around 17,000 made worldwide and increasingly seen as a future modern classic. The 3.0si is the desirable model with the 261bhp N52 straight-six, paired here with the proper six-speed manual gearbox, leather interior and M Sport steering wheel.
I've loved this car. Some wonderful road trips through Scotland and across Europe it's a proper grand tourer disguised as a sports coupe, happy on a B-road or eating motorway miles. Genuinely sad to be letting it go, but with a two-year-old son in the picture it's just not getting driven the way it used to, and a car like this deserves an owner who'll actually use it.
Drives really well smooth, quick, exactly as you'd want a six-cylinder manual BMW to feel. Just passed MOT with 12 months, so ready to drive away. Partial service history available.
Known faults (sold as honestly as I can):
1. Intermittent coolant temperature warning, but only on the first drive after the car has been sat for a month or more temp gauge occasionally rises, then settles back to normal after a brief stop. Has never happened as a regularly-driven car or on subsequent drives once back in use. No actual overheating or coolant loss in over a year. Inspected previously and could find nothing wrong. Most likely a coolant temperature sensor or thermostat (both common N52 faults and inexpensive fixes), or possibly just a quirk of long lay-ups.
Drives perfectly once warm and will likely resolve entirely with regular use.
2. Passenger side indicator flashes faster than the driver side diagnosed last year as a headlamp unit issue rather than a bulb. MOT'd through it both years.
3. Rubber trim around the windscreen has perished slightly on the outside purely cosmetic, no water ingress, dry footwells and boot.
Otherwise the car is in good condition for its age and mileage and needs someone with the time to drive it properly which is what these cars are made for.
