This has been a fantastic car to own and drive, particularly during the summer months with the roof down. Anyone who has owned an SLK before will already appreciate just how enjoyable and capable these cars are. Importantly, the folding hardtop roof operates perfectly, creating a watertight seal when closed and folding away smoothly when open. The MoT is due in February 2027 and mechanically, the car is in good condition and drives exactly as it should. It has been serviced annually by a trusted local independent garage throughout my ownership. As expected for a car of this age and mileage, there are some cosmetic imperfections. These include a few minor stone chips and some very light scratches on the bonnet and boot lid, although these are only noticeable on close inspection. Three of the alloy wheels would benefit from refurbishment (see photos), and there is some paint flaking on the rear offside quarter panel behind the driver's seat. In addition, the two plastic roof mechanism covers have faded, which is a common issue on these models. These can be repainted or vinyl wrapped if desired. The rear parking sensors can be temperamental. They were fitted by Mercedes-Benz in 2016 when I purchased the car as an approved used vehicle, but they are an aftermarket accessory rather than a factory-fitted option. Due to insurance requirements, test drives cannot be offered. However, accompanied passenger test rides are welcome for genuine prospective buyers. Overall, this is a well-maintained, mechanically sound SLK that presents well for its age and offers excellent value for someone looking for an enjoyable convertible with plenty of life left in it. The car is ready to be enjoyed immediately, with only minor cosmetic items for the next owner to address if they wish.
