Description

The 987.2 Cayman S is arguably one of the most capable cars on the road. Rear wheel drive, mid-engined, manual, the flat 6, the sound, the handling, and the looks of something very special. Being one of the last of Porsche's cars with hydraulic steering, I can tell you from first hand experience, that none of the newer cars offer this level of driver engagement at any speed. A perfect balance between the modern technology for reliability/comfort, and analogue mechanics for unfiltered driving dynamics. This soulful machine has been in my ownership for a little over 2 years, during which, I have spent well in excess of 10k to bring it up to the standard that a car like this should be held. Work includes: CV boots, steering knuckles, exhaust gaskets and fixtures, full suspension replacement, rear track control arms and lower tuning arms, power steering line and pulley, coolant pipes and brake pipes, gearbox rebuild including bell housing, clutch, flywheel and associated fixtures. ^All work was completed by highly reputed specialist garages, using OEM parts and spec, no expense spared Though it's a 987.2, I still felt I wanted a borescope soon after my purchase, just to be safe, which came back with no issues The car came with black powder coated wheels, which as you can see, I have re-powder coated bronze. I have also kept the 7mm wheel spacers on the front wheels, and 10mm on the back wheels, which came with the car. Optioned with the Sport Chrono package, so with the press of the "sport" button, the throttle response sharpens right up and completely changes how the car responds to your inputs. Michelin Pilot Sport 4s on the front wheels, and Porsche "N" rated 2s on the rear wheels. All tires have plenty of tread left. The only issue I can point out, the middle-right air vent has had some of the black rubber peel off around the edges from a shaky phone mount, as seen in images Full service history, stacks of paperwork detailing work completed during it's lifetime, recent MOT, drives like a dream, paintwork is in good condition for the age, with only minor stone chips. Needs very little if any further work Reason for sale - moving house, and downsizing to a car i can daily drive Thanks for reading, and let me know if you have any questions :)
