*insert sales jargon here* - Yawn!! (I'll get better pictures soon)
I'll be honest, TEV is very much a loved family car (friends and family alike love her, too). I've had her for the past 11 years and I'm reluctant to part with her but unfortunately, here I am. Do I talk about her like she is a living being, as do friends and family? Yes. She has been my pride and joy for the past 11 years. We have had many adventures together, house moves, shop moves, holidays, day trips and the mundane work to and fro-ing. She is an older bird on the outside but she still has years of life left in her and is young at heart.
She runs well and until this past week, was my daily chariot. She has a couple of marks/bumps (pictured) but she just dusted herself off and carried on, unphased. She has a knocking on (I believe it to be) the drivers side but doesn't affect driving, she is just talking to you as you drive. She has magical powers, her fuel gauge tends to increase slightly during longer journeys (Yes, I know it's down to the efficiency of my driving or angle I've parked at, shhh! don't spoil my illusion). She doesn't have "mod cons" but she didn't need anything flashy for everyone to see her shine. Her washer pump possibly needs addressing, I've spoken to her about this but her response was "It rains ALL the time in Wales, I don't even need to use my washers". She would benefit from new brakes as hers tend to sing more often than not. This is all reflected in her price.
She has been a very good car. She is clever and has passed the majority of her MOT'S with ease (one or two hiccups over the 11 years but she studied and smashed it when she resat her test). I have most of the service history bar the last two years due to financial constraints at that time. Unfortunately it was fuel or service and I couldn't starve her so fuel it was. Don't tell her but she gets hangry otherwise. Selling due to my partner buying a new car and I can't justify having two but don't tell TEV! Just pretend I'm loaning her to you for a nice long adventure!
I absolutely love my little TEV and as daft as it sounds, I'd much rather see her go to a family who will love her like I do and take her on more adventures. She has an amazing work ethic and has been a fantastic companion over the years and I'm proud of her!
Warning - I may cry, TEV has seen this over the years, I just tell her my eyes have just "sprung a leak". She is resilient and she will remain strong as she always does.
