FOR SALE: 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLS350 - Rare Dark Green, Quick Sale 3,1503,150 | 132,930 miles | Private Sale
Rare dark green metallic CLS350 - Possibly the only one in the UK!
Looking for a stylish, comfortable Mercedes that stands out? This early CLS350 (the car that started the four-door coupe trend) is in rare dark green metallic that looks almost black in some lights. Paired with full black leather and wood trim, it still turns heads everywhere it goes.
The Good:
Strong 3.5L V6 petrol (272hp) - smooth, powerful with a great engine note
Recent gearbox service, and engine service including fresh Mobil1 oil & filter and new air filter
Stack of service receipts and history
Recently checked over by Mercedes - all green ticks (only note: one tyre needs replacing soon). I took it in as part of a sunroof mechanism recall, which it didn't end up needing. You can see their video check for yourself.
Drives beautifully - smooth, refined and great fun
Excellent motorway economy - 30+ mpg
Low road tax (pre-2006 model - much cheaper than later CLS cars)
Roof bars currently fitted - happy to include for the right buyer
Air con works well
Honest Condition:
Some paint flaking on the rear bumper
A few minor age-related dents
Bonnet could do with a polish (had a suction mount previously)
Small amount of rust for age (one near sunroof, one near driver rear wheel, some surface rust on inner door)
Rear driver's side window doesn't go down, I believe this is a quick, cheap fix.
The parking brake (engaged by the foot) sometimes takes 2 or 3 pulls to disengage. It's never not disengaged, but can take a couple of pulls on the lever.
Overall it presents well for a 20-year-old car with this mileage. The interior is comfortable with typical leather wear, and the car has clearly been maintained.
This is a genuine, usable CLS350 that's been regularly serviced and just had important work done. Priced for a quick sale - I believe this is currently the cheapest CLS350 on Auto Trader.
Serious buyers only. Viewings welcome in High Wycombe. Mileage may go up slightly as still being driven.
