This is my 1991 Lotus Elan SE that has covered 302k miles which is (probably) the highest 'working' Lotus Elan in the UK and possibly the world. It has achieved this by being annually serviced and maintained by Lotus main dealers or Lotus specialists. It has been looked after by the leading independent Lotus specialist GST performance since 2007. There are 47 service history stamps in the owners manual, the last 30 being by GST. I have had the car serviced every year by GST spending thousands of pounds keeping it in tip top mechanical condition. It has been used as intended and not stood around being neglected. The last service in march 2026 was a major one and the cam belt has been changed as/when it was due. Mechanically it is in very good condition and has just returned (late May 2026) from a 5 day 2,000 mile European road trip to Budapest showing its reliability. It has a the rare, desirable and recently refurbished Elan S2 wheels, good Michelin tyres, stainless steel sports exhaust and a wind deflector for relaxed top down driving. The bodywork reflects the mileage but is still presentable as you can see from the photos. There is some lacquer missing from the rear end but the car drives exceptionally well and I've enjoyed not worrying about the bodywork or it getting dinged in car parks. A quick car in which everything working as it should. It has been my daily car for the 7 years I've owned it and is only being sold as I've got passed the magic 300k miles and have too many other cars, including another 3 Lotus.
