Mk5 Golf GTI - 170000 miles. This has been my project for approx 18month. When I purchased it, it was standard, a bit tired but mechanically sound with very little rust or issues. Since I have owned I have effectively turned into the car it should have been and it now keeps up with Mk6 GTIs and Audi S3 down Santapod Raceway. Interior / asthetics: New headliner New middle arm rest (between passenger and drivers seat) New Stereo system, speakers, sound deadening and sub installed by Black Ice in Bridgnorth. Alloys Mechanical / Tuning Full decant exhaust Racing induction kit Stage 2+ Remap Bilstein shock upgrade New Bridgestone Tyres Airtec Intercooler New coolant bottle 2 x major services Bad bits The boot doesn't open from the key or the external latch, only from the emergency release. The rear drivers door doesn't open from outside. This is recent so might be an easy fix. Some rust and blemishes on the front right arch (in photos) One key which needs the bottom (key ring) missing. Drives spot on and despite not using it since April, started first time in June. Will be valeted ready for viewing / purchase.
