Description

After 5 years of ownership, the time has come to sell my incredibly clean, low-mileage Elgrand E51. This is a cherished, mechanically sorted example of a legendary Japanese MPV. It sounds great, drives straight, and is ready for the summer. This is a professional Northstar Conversions day camper layout, built on a premium 3.5L Rider Autech base. Because it's a day van setup without a heavy permanent kitchen, the interior is incredibly spacious and flexible. Perfect as a high-end 5-seat daily driver or a weekend escape vehicle. The Important Stuff (Engine & Maintenance) If you know your E51s, you know the primary catalytic converters are the main weak point. You can buy this with total peace of mind: Cat Issue Fully Sorted: The primary catalytic converters have been professionally decored/gutted to eliminate the engine-failure risk. It remains 100% road-legal and passes UK MOT emissions without issue on the secondary cats. Fully Undersealed: The van was undersealed when I bought it and the condition of the underseal is excellent. Upgraded Stainless Steel Exhaust: Fitted with a custom aftermarket exhaust system. It looks the business and will never rust out like the factory originals, and it has a purposeful V6 rumble. Suspension Upgrade: Replaced the notoriously soft factory Japanese suspension with heavy-duty springs. It handles UK B-roads beautifully and sits perfectly level even when loaded. Low Mileage: Only 63.5k miles. Driven by a bulletproof timing chain. The Conversion (Northstar Quality) Premium 3-seater rock-and-roll bed with custom grey/black suede-effect upholstery and teal piping. Full electrics package including leisure battery, split-charger, and a dedicated control panel with a voltmeter, USB ports and 3-pin socket. Heavy-duty, non-slip speckled flooring (much easier to clean than carpet). Two removable matching table setup with huge middle legroom (two tables included can be fitted either side of the cabin). Note: There is no fixed kitchen unit, meaning maximum floor space. If you want one, a bolt-in kitchen pod can easily be sourced for around 500. Exterior & Extras Finished in stunning Pearl White with upgraded 5-spoke deep-dish alloy wheels. Twin electric sunroofs and rear privacy glass. BONUS: I am including the Outdoor Revolution drive-away air awning seen in the photos. It's incredibly useful, quick to pitch, and essentially doubles your living space when camped up.
