Description

2016 Volkswagen Golf GTD in night blue metallic (LH5X). Really nice car inside and out. Drives really well, and has a full service history. Very economical (averages 55-60 mpg) and is only 20 gbp a year tax due to its low emissions. It is also a Euro 6 engine, so it is ULEZ exempt. The current mileage is 86440, but this will rise slightly as it does get used. I've owned this car for a year and a half and have spent ~4000 gbp on it in that time, with all mechanical work done at a VW specialist. The idea was to keep it long term but new circumstances mean the car is no longer required. A list of the mechanical work that has been done, fixed with all genuine parts: - Timing belt and water pump (68813 miles, 16/01/2025) - New engine start button (68813 miles, 16/01/2025). A common issue on mk7 Golfs as these fail over time. - New heater matrix, coolant bottle and system flush (05/02/2025). This is a very common issue on mk 7 Golfs (Google search: VW Golf mk7 "mit silikat", for more info). - New drivers side window switch (07/10/2025). Another common mk7 issue. - Rear brake discs and pads (79373 miles, 21/11/2025) - New EGR cooler (85053 miles, 16/04/2026). The car was also given a minor service at this time too, with fresh oil and filters. It has done 1500 miles since then. In addition to the above mechnical work, the alloys were also refurbished (02/12/2025). The car has a few small scratches, as to be expected with age. The main one being the scuff on the drivers side front bumper (see picture). In addition, sometimes the keyless entry can be a bit temperamental (locks and unlocks fine using the keyfob buttons though). All in all a really nice car that has had a boat load of work done on it in the past year and a half, with basically all the expensive mk7 Golf issues fixed.
