2007 MINI ONE CONVERTIBLE 1.6 PETROL MANUAL
127,367 miles
Currently SORN
Selling on behalf of my partner.
This Mini has been a great little car for us, but unfortunately it has developed an engine fault and is being sold as a project, spares or repair.
The car starts, runs and can be moved under its own power, however due to the engine issue it is not roadworthy and should be transported away by trailer or recovery vehicle.
The fault first presented as poor acceleration, struggling on hills and an overheating warning. The vehicle was recovered by the AA, whose report stated:
"Evidence of coolant leaking past cap. Vehicle has misfire. Failed block test. Immediate garage inspection and repair required."
Following recovery, the car was inspected by a local garage. They were unable to identify the exact cause without extensive further investigation. Their opinion was that, based on the symptoms and likely repair costs, it would probably require a replacement engine or major engine work and was not economically viable to strip down further.
The car has therefore been taken off the road and is currently SORN.
