Description
2001 Ford Escort Van - Extreme Custom Audio Build
Here is my 2001 Ford Escort van, extensively modified with what is believed to be one of the loudest and cleanest sounding audio systems on four wheels.
If you're not into serious car audio, this probably isn't the van for you.
Audio System Spec:
Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB head unit
Front doors:
4 x Hertz SPL Show 8" mid-bass speakers
2 x Hertz SPL Show Neo tweeters
Rear doors:
6 x Hertz SPL Show 8" mid-bass speakers
4 x Hertz SPL Show Neo tweeters
10 x Hertz SPL Show 12" subwoofers
10 x Hertz Cento mono amplifiers
2 x Hertz Cento 4-channel amplifiers
1 x Hertz Mille Pro 4-channel amplifier
2 x leisure batteries
Fully sound deadened throughout using Skinz sound deadening
This is not a thrown-together setup in someone's shed the entire system was professionally installed by Trucking Sounds, who are well known for producing high-quality audio builds.
Exterior:
The van had a full professional respray around 12 months ago by a paint shop with over 40 years' experience.
Mechanical Work Completed Around 12 Months Ago:
New fuel pump and injectors
New clutch
Cambelt replaced
New glow plugs
Full service carried out
It has also just had a fresh MOT for the next owner.
There are loads of other little touches and modifications that can be seen in the photos. The asking price wouldn't even cover the cost of the audio equipment and install alone, but I understand I'll never recover everything invested into the project.
I'm only selling so someone else can enjoy it while I move on to the next build.
Bottom Line:
Bodywork - very good
Engine/mechanics - slow but reliable, exactly as Ford intended
Audio system - absolutely outstanding
The first person who hears this van will buy it.
