Loved this car, perfect motorway cruiser. Unfortunately, the gearbox has let me down. I'm told it will either need a new one or a chip inside it needs replacing but my local garage aren't able to do this for me and I don't want the faff of going through Audi and their extortionate repair prices. It starts, everything works, but when you start to drive and accelerate, the gearbox cuts out and it essentially goes into neutral and the pictured warning sign on the dashboard comes up. If I turn off and restart the engine, it all resets starts to drive perfectly (slowly in 1st gear), but issue will happen again whenever I accelerate. If someone has the gizmos needed to replace the chip or repair / replace the gearbox, this is an excellent car - engine doesn't miss a beat and apart from the gearbox, it's in amazing condition. I've had it since around 60,000 miles and 90% of its life with me has been motorway cruising with regular services, oil changes etc. I have included a photo of the warning message on the dashboard and also the details on the diagnosis gadget my local garage plugged into it.
