This Clio is the "runout" or "facelift" model and marked the end of Renaultsport production in Dieppe (the factory was then assigned purely to Alpine models). The facelift was a major improvement over the earlier 200T models and features, as standard; Trophy sports suspension, revised gearbox software, a more classy interior and an increase in power to 220bhp (with an overboost in race mode in gears 5 and 6).
I have been a RenaultSport enthusiast for years (and still a member of the RS Club and Cliosport fraternity) and have owned numerous RS models. The Clio is certianly the most practical of the lineup with very good load space, split/fold rear seats, four doors and useful features like the rear camera and parking sensors. It'll comfortably seat four and is happy to sit with cruise control on the motorway, or in Sport or Race modes on more interesting journeys.
It took me months to find this car when I bought it (from another RS club member) in 2024. I took it to RenTec in Edinburgh for a full inspection, service and complete fluid change. Since then it's been perfectly reliable and practical, and incredible fun.
I'm only selling it to fund a convertible that's more befitting my age (50)...
