The Aston Martin N400, launched in 2007, was aimed at the enthusiast market and for the buyer that wanted something a little different to the already popular V8 Vantage, and also to celebrate Aston Martins success in the Nurburgring 24hr race. This particular Vantage Roadster is the rare 6 speed manual.
Only 480 N400 models were to be produced and only in 3 limited special colours, the figure 480 coming from the number of seconds the Vantage took to complete a full circuit of the track at 8 minutes. The total number to be built was to be split equally between 240 Coupes and 240 Roadsters, but it is believed not all 240 Roadsters were built due to higher demand for the Coupe.
Improvements over the standard model included an engine upgrade to 400bhp giving a 0-60mph of just 5 seconds with a top speed of 174mph, a sports handling pack which included lightweight graphite and diamond finished alloy wheels, uprated springs, dampers, stiffer anti-roll bars and additional aesthetics, a new sill design, Magnum Silver bonnet grilles, side strake meshes, clear lamp lenses and a bright finish grille.
Interior enhancements include a 700w Premium Audio system featuring Dolby Pro-Logic 11 technology, electric memory seats, unique numbered sill plaque along with additional Nurburgring embossing and badging to denote the N400 model.
This particular 2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400 Roadster is a rare manual gearbox version, finished in metallic Bergwerk Black with a contrasting Black Leather interior highlighted with red stitching, and is in lovely condition, having just had a new hood fitted. With the ever sought after 6 speed manual gearbox and has just 44,600 miles recorded and a comprehensive document pack. The car has a full Aston Martin Servicing History and has been looked after here at Stratton Motor Company since 2023 and is well known to the dealership as is the current keeper who has cherished this lovely example of the N400.
