Description
Reason for Sale:
This car was a incredibly generous gift from an elderly family member. Unfortunately, as a brand-new driver who only passed my test a month ago, neither of us anticipated just how outrageous insurance quotes would be for a new driver on a vehicle of this size. I am reluctantly forced to sell it to downsize to a small hatchback. Serious buyers only, please
Key Highlights:
Long MOT: Valid until 6th January 2027 (complete peace of mind for the next owner).
Specification: Premium XS trim featuring 4WD, smooth 6-speed manual gearbox, Euro 5 engine, and stop/start technology.
Mileage: 155,847 miles (runs smoothly and pulls exactly as it should).
HPI Clear: The car has never been written-off.
Keys: One key available.
Service History & Maintenance:
The car comes with a partial service history folder containing various maintenance receipts and recorded service stamps from 2014, 2019, and 2022. Notably, the timing belt was replaced in 2022 (invoice present in the folder).
Condition & Age-Related Notes:
The vehicle is mechanically sound, the interior is clean, and it makes for a fantastic, spacious SUV. To ensure total transparency for the next owner, all known defects are listed below:
--Cosmetics: There are age-related scrapes and scratches on the bodywork - perfect for someone looking for a rugged, practical workhorse.
--MOT Advisory: The recent MOT noted a minor fault with the nearside front steering rack gaiter (rubber boot). It does not affect how the car drives and is fully road-legal until January 2027.
--Quirks: The clutch pedal has a common squeak (requires a spring replacement), and the rear boot release can occasionally be glitchy/temperamental when the car is stationary. All other electrics work perfectly.
Pricing, Negotiation & Viewings:
Priced very fairly based on AutoTrader's actual valuation for a straightforward, honest sale. Reasonable negotiation is welcome, but lowball offers will be ignored. Trade companies welcome if reasonable and no time-wasters.
Important Note on Test Drives:
The car is currently SORN and uninsured, so test drives on public roads are not permitted. However, you are more than welcome to bring a mechanic, start the engine, and inspect the vehicle thoroughly on the driveway. Test drives are only possible if you are bringing your own trade plates, or if you choose to tax and temporarily insure the vehicle on-site before driving.
