Description
The car drives well and has been reliable in my ownership. It has just passed its MOT and has been regularly maintained, with full service history available. It underwent a full service at the beginning of May.
The engine also had a complete replacement cylinder head professionally fitted around 20 months ago following a head gasket issue, and it has run without any problems since. Invoice/paperwork available. This should provide peace of mind against the well-documented head gasket issues common to the R56 generation.
At 107,500 miles it has covered a fair distance, but the recent cylinder head replacement and full service history mean the mechanicals are in very good shape
This is the Cooper model, not the lower-powered MINI One, so it has the more powerful 1.6 petrol engine putting out 122 bhp. It is a very fun but also practical and economical small car, which would make a great runaround, first car, or city car.
I am regretfully selling because I am moving abroad, not because of any issue with the car.
Known points to be aware of: the next owner will likely want to replace the rear tyres and front brake pads over the next year. The rear windscreen wiper motor is not currently working, but I have already bought the replacement motor and it will be included with the car. The front washer nozzles are also a bit temperamental and may need adjustment or replacement.
Overall, this is an honest, well-maintained MINI Cooper with fresh MOT, full history, recent service, and major engine refurb work already done. Priced fairly to reflect the minor jobs listed above.
Viewings and test drives welcome.
