Description
134k miles
Full Dimma body kit
Px considered, but I would need at least 6k on top.
No offers. Already the cheapest running M3 I can see for sale in the country. Please do not contact saying 'but it needs this and that doing etc' - I know. That is why it is the cheapest in the country.
Reluctantly selling to buy a new bike. I planned to keep the car for a long time but it has become hard to justify when it hasn't been in use for a year.
No test drives as the car is SORN and has no MOT.
The engine runs great, the car was in daily use until I took it off the road when I got a bike again. The video on the listing shows a cold start, showing the live temperatures.
Shortly before it was taken off the road, the center support bearing on the propshaft failed and damaged the post cat lambda sensor wiring. I replaced the propshaft, csb and the damaged heat sheilds, but the wiring still needs sorting. As a result of this, the car goes in to limp mode for catalytic converter protection if it is driven hard. I believe the post cat lambdas could be coded out to solve this.
I have no paperwork from before I bought the car in mid 2023. I was told the 'big 3' of vanos, rod bearings and boot floor had been done but I have no evidence of this. You can tell the boot floor has been done in the past, but it does need addressing again.
I do have some receipts from my ownership but I did most of the work in the last couple of years myself.
I have added photos of all the current fault codes, all of which relate to the exhaust sensor wiring issue.
Some recent work includes:
Instrument cluster repair after failure
Differential and both rear driveshafts replaced
New headlights
New locking pin for hardtop
Hsd monopro coilovers
Bad points:
Bodywork needs touching up in places, front bumper fitment isnt great due to a poor repair. (New front bumper can be made, manufacturer of the kit still has the mould)
Headunit recently stopped working, possibly just a fuse.
Exhaust sensor wiring damage mentioned above
Airbag light has been on since csb failure, I sent the module off to be reset but it is still present.
Front tyres are a few years old, rears have done very few miles, were replaced last year.
No warranty implied or given, the car is sold as seen and I have mentioned every issue I am aware of.
The highlight of this car is the engine and gearbox. If you wanted to use those for another project, you could likely make most of your money back by selling the rest as parts.
