Description
2009 BMW 525d M Sport Touring Auto (LCI Facelift) Business Edition
148,506 miles (will rise slightly)
Fresh MOT from 1st June with no advisories
It's time for me to sell my 5 Series. I've owned the car since September 2020 and it has been a great all-rounder throughout my ownership; a good blend of 3 litre performance, mpg, and insurance group.
Pre-my ownership it had partial service history up to 110k miles. The supplying garage also serviced the car prior to my purchase in September 2020 (oil/filter, air filter, fuel filter, pollen filter).
Since then the car has been regularly maintained by an independent BMW specialist:
121,455: Oil service
126,076: Brake fluid
132,813: Oil service
137,141: Brake fluid
142,448: Oil service
145,317: Brake fluid
In addition to routine servicing, the following work has been carried out during my ownership (all paperwork retained):
Sep 2020 (119k): BMW recall - battery branch off point replacement
Nov 2020 (120k): Gearbox and rear differential oil service, iDrive software update
Jan 2021 (121k): Water pump, thermostat, auxiliary belt
Apr 2021 (123k): New battery
Sep 2022 (132k): Front anti-roll bar link
Jan 2023 (134k): New diversity antenna
May 2025 (145k): New discs and pads all round, front brake reactions, brake fluid
Oct 2025 (146k): Rear driveshaft, rear suspension arms, wheel alignment
Feb 2026 (147k): Water pump and thermostat replaced again under parts warranty
May 2026: Air conditioning re-gas
Some things to be aware of:
Due an oil service in around 900 miles
Front tyres: Continental Sport Contact 6, approx. 4mm
Rear tyres: Goodyear Eagle F1, approx. 5mm
Alloys have kerb marks commensurate with age
Both keys present, though one no longer operates the remote locking but still starts/drives the car perfectly
Windscreen has a handful of small stone chips
General age-related marks/chips to exterior
Front bumper has previously caught a kerb which has affected the fitment slightly around the corners see pictures
Some marks to the boot carpet from a previous owner
RHS tailgate hinge loom has previously had wiring repairs carried out, which is a common E61 Touring issue
Bonus: the car also comes with a set of Dunlop Winter Sport 5 tyres mounted on 17" alloys. Fronts approx. 6mm, rears approx. 7.5mm.
