Description
'EJ' is a reliable, strong runner. The previous owner (family friend) had EJ for 13 years. We bought EJ with the idea of our son driving her once he passes his licence, but is not keen (size of car). Hence EJ is looking for a new home.
Being a top-spec and spacious Mondeo, she boasts many luxury features like key-less entry, adaptive cruise-control, heated seats, climate control, Sony radio with 6-CD changer, quick-clearing heated windscreen, and with the torquey Ford 2.0 Duratorq diesel engine with a 6-speed manual transmission, regularly sees 50mpg in town and with high-way driving just above the national limit. She also has a towbar with a trailer electric socket.
Mechanically, EJ has been regularly serviced (all slips from previous owner - detailing most of her service history, is included). All MOT issues have been rectified (notably the rear suspension - 2 years ago), and a new clutch was fitted.
Foibles - there are a few. Cosmetically, paint is flaking from the front bumper lower lip; the off-side driving light lens is shattered, the chrome radiator trim was broken by a careless reverser, the front of the bonnet has slight dent. The rims do not look new (does not affect tyres in any way - which have ample tread). No other marks or scratches on the rest of EJ.
Operationally, there is one working key fob (2nd one not working) and the tailgate opens with a click of the key-fob only. The handbrake has a tendancy to register as engaged on the dashboard (with a bong), even whilst clearly not, and needs to be lifted slightly every so often (hence a small sponge strategically placed).
EJ is currently is still being regularly driven so mileage will increase slightly. MOT is due by 4 July, and plan to get this done in the next 2 weeks.
