Golf Gti MK5, tornado red, tartan interior, no modifications. Only failed MOT once in 21 years! Never thrashed - owned by my wife last 15 years and bought from another female owner from new. Car is completely original and stock, not modified in any way. Has been serviced regularly by local garage on Anglesey, its always had money spent on it when it needed it and preventative work like cam shaft follower etc. Original 132k but will go up as used daily. Gearbox and Clutch sound, engine running great. Engine and turbo very good with no smoke or lagg. The car feels tight to drive, no rattles and pleasing sound from the stock exhaust. Slight oil leak from rocker cover. Intermittent amber steerig wheel light, popped up in last MOT. Steering is fine so may be sensor. There are no other warning lights on dash. Steeing feels good. Car brakes as it should, no pulling under breaking. Disks, brakes and callipers serviced. Air con works but needs re-gas. Some plastic peel on small places on the dash and door handles, could easily be replaced and common fault. 18"diamond cut wheels with good matching tyres. Alloys could do with a referb but not leaking from the rims and tyre pressure sensor are all working. The suspension is stock. Two keys and handbook, we do have some paperwork around the house! Please remember this is a 21 year old car, it is not new but mechanically feels really tight, very impressive for this age. All electrics work bar the button on the door to open and close all doors, this only opens the drivers door, been like that since weve owed it. The third brake light also stopped working but passed MOT. Both Key fobs work fine. Recent heavy duty battery from GSF and new brakelight switch from Lucas. The bad points are mostly related to the laquer peel, happy to send more pics or video via whatsapp. It looks good when washed showing its potential, but the laquer needs sorting. The drivers side front wing is the worst. Both wings were replaced under warranty by VW but they skimped on the laquer! Surface bubbles of rust in the usual places including doors and tailgate badge. All the rust is superficial, the sills underneath are excellent etc. Interior seats are good but bolster driver side has some slight fraying. Minor stains on front seats, would probably come out with proper valet. Genuine reason for sale, open to sensible offers. No swaps and car must be viewed on Anglesey. Any mechanical inspection welcome.
