Description

FOR SALE: Peugeot 206 GTi - The Thinking man's Sports Car Right then. Introducing.... Peugeot 206 GTi the French and the Furious. This isn't one of those boring adverts where someone says "drives well for its age." Course it drives well. It's survived 20-odd years of Britain's roads, potholes, McDonald's car parks and at least one owner who definitely thought the rev limiter was a suggestion. The Good: 2.0 GTi engine. Goes round corners with the enthusiasm of a Jack Russell that's seen a squirrel. Surprisingly quick when it's not being overtaken by a bloke in a diesel Octavia who's got something to prove. Makes every trip to Tesco feel like you're qualifying for Brands Hatch. The Character: It's French, so it occasionally reminds you who's actually in charge. That's not unreliabilitythat's personality. If you wanted predictable, you'd have bought a washing machine. The interior is peak early-2000s. Silver plastic everywhere. It looks like someone designed the dashboard after watching The Fast and the Furious through a Nokia. Insurance companies know exactly who's looking at these, so don't be surprised if they ask if you've ever described yourself as "a bit of a lad." Perfect first hot hatch, weekend toy or something to park outside your mate's house after telling him you've "made a sensible investment." Known Features: Steering wheel. Four wheels (shod in the best quality budget ditch finders) MOT? Yes. Engine? Also yes. Not interested in swaps for your vape collection, your cousin's quad bike or "a sick gaming PC worth bare money." Bring cash, bring your licence, and if you turn up asking "what's your best price?" before you've even seen it, I'll assume you're here for the free air. Buy it before someone else relives their 2004 Max Power fantasy. No dreamers. No tyre-kickers. No philosophers.
