Description
Mercedes-Benz AMG 55 SLK with the factory P30 (030) AMG Performance Package
Appears to be the only R171 with the P30 package available for sale in the UK today. Pistonheads summarises the P30 package as follows:
Brakes: Upgraded AMG high-performance compound braking system featuring 6-piston fixed calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear with larger, internally ventilated and perforated composite discs.
Suspension: AMG Nrburgring-tuned sport suspension with stiffer damping and spring rates.
Interior: Ergonomic AMG sport steering wheel lined with Alcantara and carbon fiber interior trim accents.
Performance: Raised electronically limited top speed to 176 mph (280 km/h) instead of the standard 155 mph (250 km/h).
In anticipation of sale, the car has had the following:
New P30 OEM Brembo disks front and rear (these are famously expensive)
New Continental Sport Contact 5 tyres all round
Refurbished alloy wheels all round
Oil and filter service 28th May 26 and new MOT valid 29th June 2027 with no advisories.
Serpentine belt, tensioner and idler pulleys replaced in the last year
Recent new battery
I bought the car in March 2020 at around 100,500 miles. Car had a full service history with Mercedes-Benz to that point.
This continued to September 2021 at 101,921 miles when the service and airbag recall swap was carried out by Mercedes Benz in Aberdeen.
Car has been garaged since I owned it and covered an average of only 850 miles per year - now selling due to lack of use and storage space only.
Car will be sold with it's original plate of LC07DPF but the private plate 12RX may be available at an additional cost.
V5 is present as are both original keys, original stamped service history and a comprehensive history file.
No sign of the common subframe corrosion issue but I understand that MB are now replacing those free under the 30 year corrosion warranty.
Things that you might want to look at: There is a small chip on the windscreen which no longer features as an MOT advisory - been there a long time and the AC needs charged.
Happy to answer any questions - thanks for looking.
