I am selling my BMW 330d xDrive, 2016, 3.0 diesel automatic. This car has been looked after properly and has had a lot of time, money and passion put into it. Everything was done for myself, not for resale, so it has been maintained and improved with real care. It is powered by BMW's award-winning 3.0 straight-six diesel engine, widely regarded as one of the best diesel engines BMW has produced. It is smooth, powerful, reliable and still very economical. I get around 40 mpg, which is very impressive for a car with this level of performance. The car was standard before the upgrades were carried out in January this year. The Stage 2 software and supporting upgrades were done to improve the car's performance, response and driving pleasure, not to abuse it or use it in harsh conditions. I am not a racer, and the car has not been used as a track car or pushed hard. The idea was simply to unlock the proper potential of this excellent 3.0 diesel engine while keeping it reliable and enjoyable for everyday driving. The car drives absolutely beautifully. It feels strong, smooth and solid on the road, and it is a genuine pleasure to drive every time. There are no warning lights, no faults, no oil leaks and no mechanical issues that I am aware of. Everything works as it should, including all driving modes and Sport mode. In January, the timing chain was replaced. The propshaft was also serviced and the propshaft joints were replaced. All four should replaced. A full gasket set was replaced as well, to deal with the common weak points these BMW engines can suffer from. The engine is now dry with no oil leaks. After the work, the car had a full service, including engine oil and filters. The car has also had some tasteful upgrades: Stage 2 software - Upgraded larger intercooler - Performance / uprated DPF fitted -EGR system professionally addressed / optimised - xDrive system can be switched on or off by software, allowing the car to be used either as AWD or rear-wheel drive when desired - Exterior styling improvements -Tinted windows - Subtle tinted front and rear lights The bodywork is in very good condition for its age. The only thing worth mentioning is a small scratch on the rear bumper. I am genuinely sad to sell it, because I really enjoy this car. It is quick, comfortable, economical and full of character.
