Description

I am selling my 2006 lexus IS250 V6, I bought it 2-3 years ago from its previous owner (who owned it from new, and contains yearly service record). During my ownership, I have personally serviced the engine twice with Liqui Moly engine flush and ceretec afterwards, I also serviced the gearbox twice (changed two solenoids to smooth out the gear shift. The car drives very smoothly, almost feels like an electric car, the engine is very quiet and well-balanced, pulls nicely too. However it burns oil at a 0.7L/1000km, I researched and it is still below the Lexus' limit for this model (2006-2010 model years due to the piston ring design it burns oil), I have installed the oil catch can to catch the oil before it returns back to the intake so pretty much lived with the oil burn, the engine itself is very smooth. I also installed new alternator, android headunit, some cosmetic carbon fire interior skin, changed the PCV valve, clean the throttle body, and the previously mentioned gearbox service (two solenoids change, the shifting solenoid 1 still needs change which was my next todo list, however if you press the accelerator pedal gently you can live with it, that's why I haven't changed it yet), and also the oil catch can. I was planning to use it as my second car and as my project car, I really enjoyed the driving characters of it, smooth, silent, very well-balanced engine (low vibration), delivers a electric like driving. On one return trip from midlands to London, I was hyper-miling it and achieved 56 MPG on a V6. However, I went on a long holiday away, and upon returning (1.5 month) the engine misfired and didn't manage to start before the battery drained. I had plan to charge it and diagnose, but my work life got busier, and I already have my main car to drive. I suspect it might be due to spark plugs (they were never changed), and caused the initial few starts of mis-firing, then triggered the system to not starting at all. as much as I like the car, I haven't got around to do that after 3 months now, and I fear the longer it sits the worse for it, so I am listing as a non-runner for 1200. I am quite confident that it can be an easy fix of the spark plugs, the market value I checked is around 3-4k now.
