Description

BMW 330CD Auto Coupe (E46) - 2005 -Black-sapphire metallic- 256k Miles - MOT Until March 2027 Project / Enthusiast Car 1,495 ONO - Margate, Kent After around 9 years of ownership, it's time for me to let my 330CD go. This car has taken me across Europe, served as a daily driver, and been enjoyed exactly as a BMW straight-six diesel should be. 256,000 miles, mostly motorway and long-distance driving, averaging around 50 miles daily. Starts, runs and drives. The M57 3.0 diesel engine was professionally remapped around 100,000 miles ago to approximately 300bhp. Swirl flaps have been blanked, and the EGR issue addressed. It still pulls hard while remaining surprisingly economical. 37+ mpg mixed driving Maintenance during my ownership: Castrol Edge 5W-40 M oil Mostly Shell V-Power diesel Annual servicing Genuine MANN oil, fuel, air and cabin filters Osram Night Breaker bulbs / Eagle Eyes rear optics KW-ST lowered suspension (matching springs and dampers) Brand-new Hankook Ventus Evo tyres (225/40R18 front, 255/35R18 rear) Very high factory specification, with almost every available option fitted. Good points: Strong M57 engine Automatic gearbox Around 300bhp remap MOT until March 2027 KW-ST suspension Four brand-new tyres High specification Excellent motorway cruiser Known issues: Extensive rust and poor bodywork condition The interior is tired and showing its age Intermittent electrical fault causing occasional stalling and various warning lights/errors When faults occur, multiple systems can be affected, including gearbox warnings After restarting/clearing faults, the car can be trouble-free for weeks or months Suspected wiring/electrical issue, but no diagnosis guaranteed Electric folding mirrors, headlamp washers and some parking sensors are currently not working One glow plug fault remains Auxiliary water pump General wear and tear consistent with age and mileage Advisory: Oil leak, but not excessive The car has never been treated as a garage queen. It has been driven hard, enjoyed properly, repaired as needed, and mechanically looked after. This is not a mint example, and I'm not pretending it is. However, underneath the rust and electrical gremlins is a well-maintained, high-spec BMW with a strong engine, desirable upgrades and plenty of life left for the right owner. Sold as seen. Viewing and inspection welcome. I also have various spare parts that may be included with the sale. Please message for more information or to arrange a viewing.
