I am writing this advert with a heavy heart, unfortunately I'm very reluctantly having to part with my 2002 Volkswagen Golf GTI 25th Anniversary with the iconic 1.9TDI PD150. I bought this car as a restoration as I couldn't bear to see it get broken for parts, which is the unfortunate fate for a lot of these cars. This particular example has undergone extensive restoration to get it back to being a collector and enthusiast's show piece. Despite having covered 236,000 miles, this car still pulls incredibly well with a solid engine, turbo and gearbox. There are no unwanted noises. I've been using this car as my daily for a while now and it's been absolutely fantastic. I've spent thousands restoring this car to get it to the point it's at now. Timing belt and water pump was done in December 2025. 2 new sills welded on and a respray on the rear quarters, two brand new front wings, front bumper and front valance respray. Brand new discs and pads all round, front discs are drilled and grooved. New Bridgestone Turanza tyres all round. Interior has had a deep clean, with the seats and carpets being wet vacced. I can provide plenty of photos of the transformation its had. MOT expires in October 2026. The car has 2x keys and a folder full of paperwork with stamps in the original service book. BBS centre cap spanner with number engraved is included. I've taken the car to the Nottingham motor show recently where it's had a lot of admiration, it's one of the cleanest examples you'd see. Nobody can believe its on the mileage its on. It loves being driven and will do so many more miles. This Anniversary has been enthusiast owned and a lot of money has been spent on it, I want it to find its way to another enthusiast and collector who will look after it the way I have, because it deserves to be loved. It's a sensational car to drive and it deserved a new lease of life, and that has definitely been given to it during my ownership. It drives like it's fresh out the showroom. Absolutely NO MORE than 2 people viewing at a time. I won't be doing group viewings. I won't be dealing with any time wasters or dreamers. I'm not interested in silly offers or test pilots. Please don't come expecting to haggle as this car is incredibly clean and it will be very very hard to find another one like this.
