Description

This particular 2005 Vanquish S is an especially rare example. Finished in Pentland Green, it is understood to be one of just seven Vanquish S models produced in this elegant and understated shade. The colour perfectly complements the car's sculpted proportions and is paired with a beautifully specified interior featuring green Alcantara seat inserts and matching headlining. Configured as a desirable 2+2 and showing just 27,058 miles from new, this is a car that has clearly benefited from knowledgeable ownership throughout its life. Previously residing with notable Aston Martin collectors, it has remained in the hands of enthusiasts who understood both the significance of the model and the importance of maintaining it correctly. Acquired by its current owner from HWM Aston Martin in 2023, the car has since been maintained regardless of cost. During the last two years alone it has received three services with HWM and continues to benefit from an Aston Martin warranty valid until September. Most significantly, HWM removed the gearbox during 2024 and carried out a comprehensive inspection and recommissioning programme under warranty, effectively working through the car from front to back to ensure it performed exactly as intended. Importantly, this is a Vanquish S that has been driven and enjoyed. In 2024 alone it completed approximately 7,000 miles in just seven weeks without issue, proving exactly why these cars remain such accomplished grand tourers. It is equally at home crossing continents as it is attending concours events and collector gatherings. The car is accompanied by an extensive maintenance record, with continual attention from recognised Aston Martin specialists throughout its life. Numerous thoughtful upgrades and refinements have been carried out over the years, including subtle cosmetic improvements, revised grilles and refurbished brake calipers, all contributing to an example that presents exceptionally well today. Most recently, the car has received a full machine polish and ceramic coating, after which it has seen very little use. Adding further provenance, this very car was selected by the Aston Martin Heritage Trust for its video series documenting the Vanquish, featuring original Aston Martin development and test driver Les Goble. A rare colour, low mileage, extensive specialist maintenance and outstanding provenance combine to make this one of the most compelling Vanquish S examples currently available.
