Description

W212 Mercedes E220 CDI SE I've put 40,000 miles on this car over two years and it has done me amazingly well. I originally purchased it for work, knowing I was going to be doing a lot of driving, but I've recently moved into a less driving-intensive role, so have bought a sportier car. The car has been well maintained in my ownership, with an oil change every 10,000 miles, new front rotors and pads, and a new battery and auxiliary battery. The tires have been relatively recently replaced. The car has also had the subframe replaced under warranty by Mercedes, as it is a known failure point with these cars as they get older. I've never had any issues with the gearbox/engine - it has always driven buttery smooth. The car is truly a lovely commuter and is pleasure to drive. All electronics work as they should - the heater gets hot instantly, the air con is ice cold, and so on. The suspension is super plush, and the car pulls well enough that you have no problem overtaking at motorway speeds. The sound system is great, the parking sensors are an LED design that doesn't beep at you and interrupt you music, the collision warning system is not intrusive, and the sunroof is a bonus! The interior is pretty spotless for a car of this age. The white leather seats look great with the wooden trim - it's a lovely place to sit! It's a lot of car for the money and I'm a little upset to be letting it go! It's just not feasible for me to own two cars. Unfortunately, the car does have areas of cosmetic damage to the exterior, which were present when I bought the car. The paintwork is damaged in places and has been touched up by hand, namely on the rear bumper (see photos). At some point, the driver's door was replaced with the pre-facelift version, meaning a silver trim piece is out of place. There is also a small dent at the foot of the drivers door. This damage is of course reflected in the price - AutoTrader values the car at 4010 (assuming no damage). The damage has never bothered me personally, as I was after luxury driving for a good price, and once sat inside the damage is of course not visible! The car has a partial service history, with some from myself and some from the previous owner. I'm looking for a quick sale as I don't want to be insuring two cars much longer. For any more photos or questions, please get in touch. Regards, Stanley.
