Description
Mazda MX-5 Mk3 - 1.8L Petrol - 2009
65,000 Miles - 3,300 - MOT until February
It is with some reluctance that I am putting my beloved MX-5 up for sale.
I first owned the car in December 2013 and enjoyed it immensely. In 2014, my sister (who must be obeyed!) persuaded me to sell it to her. After many years of ownership, she eventually decided it was time to part with it, and I was delighted to welcome it back into the family in 2023.
The car has been exceptionally well maintained throughout its life. I am fortunate to have a close friendship with my local mechanic at Grove Park Motors in Chiswick, who has looked after the car meticulously and kept it in excellent mechanical condition. Admittedly, he may have had a vested interest in keeping it in top shape, as he has always enjoyed taking it for the occasional drive himself!
Recently, I fitted a genuine Mazda OEM boot rack, which can easily be removed if preferred. I bought it specifically for a trip to France to visit friends, where the MX-5 was in its element. Driving through the beautiful rolling countryside with the roof down was an absolute joy and a reminder of why these cars have such a loyal following.
With fewer than 65,000 miles on the clock, the car remains in very good condition for its age. It is reliable, economical, great fun to drive, and everything a classic MX-5 should be.
So why am I selling this little gem? Quite simply, living in Chiswick means I rarely need to use either of my cars these days. Public transport, walking, and cycling are often easier options, and it seems a shame for such an enjoyable car to spend most of its time parked.
I hope the next owner gets as much pleasure from this wonderful car as I have over the years.
