Description
WAV Fiat Multipla 1.9 Diesel JTD
Wheelchair upfront so that your loved one sits beside the driver, not in the baggage area.
71850 miles 12 months MOT and recently serviced.
Wheelchair up front plus three seats with seat belt and all fixings for the wheelchair.
There is also a proper seat which can replace the wheelchair to seat 4 people in total.
What sets this Fiat Multipla apart is the Brotherwood wheelchair upfront conversion, which originally would have cost around 8000. The wheelchair sits in the front passenger place allowing the driver and wheelchair passenger to sit beside each other, rather than having the wheelchair user in the luggage compartment.
My late mother found this to be a huge bonus to go out together side by side so the trip was as enjoyable as the destination. The view from inside is very open. She was a little deaf and could engage with me as we traveled. The ride is more comfortable for being in the body of the car rather than bouncing over the rear wheels.
Fitted with a winch but because of the low floor, the slope of the ramp is gentle and pushing the chair in is easy. The ramp folds down completely so the view out of the back is completely clear, unlike some ramped vehicles where the ramp obstructs the rear window.
The two rear seats are standard seats with ISOfix fittings for child seats. Both fold, one folds to the side to allow the wheelchair in. It is spacious enough to get a tandem in if you want to use it for other purposes.
One year's MOT. The front brakes have been replaced at the time of the MOT. The four tyres are recently replaced Michelin Cross Climate 2, with excellent grip.
Quite a lot of service history including a recent cambelt change. Well maintained. It is Dynamic specification, with the addition of alloy wheels. Two keys.
This is the updated style Multipla. It is a carefully thought out car which was originally designed to seat 6 people in comfort in less than 4 metres length. It was designed with the future in mind and had the capability of batteries or gas cylinders under the floor to provide alternative fuels hence the suitabilty for wheelchair conversion. Ahead of its time!
The car itself unsurprisingly has some signs of being used over its life and a small dint in the offside rear wing which was present when I bought it almost 3 years ago.
Viewing Halifax or York.
I can deliver at cost of fuel plus rail fare to return.
