Description

I was offered this focus in November last year as it was feeling rather sorry for itself. The previous owner had totally neglected it and I fancied a bit of a project putting it back to stock and a presentable condition as best as I could. Over the last 6 months or so I've spent a fortune on it. MOT until April 2027 Brand new Kumho Ecsta tyres all round-barely covered 100 miles. All 4 wheels freshly refurbished in Ford silver (see pics) New rear discs and pads with a rear n/s caliper fitted too Xenon's upgraded to LED bulbs- 100 for a set of bulbs! Huge difference though. I also replaced the rear covers on the lights as they had perished over time. New cabin filter fitted, in the process also removed the fuse board and gave it a clean. New oil filter housing as the old one was leaking (mot advisory) New power steering components fitted by a local garage as they were leaking -500 pound fix! New boot struts New LED number plate lights New number plates There are other odds and ends that I have done to the car but the list would go on and on. I stripped the whole interior out and gave it a proper clean as it was massively in need of it, cleaned the seats with leather cleaner before going back in, I also replaced all the floor mats. I removed the rear lights and cleaned underneath them and siliconed anywhere where water could get in, including boot hinges, (a known weak spot) The car drives lovely, sounds great and is very quick! It has a remap that I don't have any info on, as a precaution I took it to Surrey rolling road and it's pushing 245 BHP but it's so torquey from low down. The map seems more focused on torque. It has an upgraded intercooler, induction kit and a cobra non res exhaust- it sounds lovely! It has a cambelt and water pump invoice from 2023. It had a new clutch recently. It has lots of receipts from the past but nothing service wise from the last few years, it could do with a service as there is no service book present. I have photographed the worst areas of damage on the car, -scratch on the roof -crack in the bottom of the front bumper -front of the drivers side sideskirt cap broke when I put it on so I tiger sealed it on instead, looks a bit naff. -bit of rust bubbling on the n/s/r wheel arch For the age and mileage I have definitely seen worse examples of these STs, this one now has all the fundamentals and a good basis to be a great car for someone. I just fancy getting something else now.
