Description
Here for sale is my genuine Honda Prelude Type S manual. This car was imported to the UK in 2006 with 87,611km at its first MOT. Since then it's been changed to MPH and covered approximately another 18,000 miles, putting the mileage today at around 72,000.
The Type S MK5 Prelude did not come with the option for a sunroof from factory. The owner of this car back in Japan paid to have a Webasto sunroof fitted at great cost.
This car is equipped with the Japan exclusive ATTS system only found on the type S models. The car also features a full Mugen exhaust from headers to catback which makes a great noise when you are on the gas and is also quiet when at idle or city driving. It's also has a full set of Mugen 17 inch GP wheels in amazing condition apart from the wheel on the front drivers side which unfortunately has a scuff. These wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. The head of the H22a engine found on this vehicle has been refreshed and rebuilt with ARP studs giving it a lot more strength for leisurely track use which appears to be what this car built for. There is an aluminium radiator as well as silicone hoses, Morso baffled oil Sump, AEM fuel rail and AEM Intake.
The car has also been fitted with Endless Zeal Function coilovers which have great feel and make the handling of this car incredible. And the interior has been retrofitted with the steering wheel and seats from a Honda S2000, which are in great condition, as well as a aftermarket head unit.
The underneath of the car is in very good condition benefitting from under-sealing when it arrived in the UK. All the original jacking points are there and there are no dents underneath.
The body of the car has never been cut into and still features its original paint apart from one door which is a shade lighter which can be seen inside the polishing studio.
This car since being in the UK has been dry stored most its life and has taken some considerable sun damage and lacquer peel during this time. I have tried my best to have it polished up but please be aware there are imperfections in the paint which will require respraying.
The headliner has also unfortunately collapsed at the back. I can pin this back up for any buyer however it would be a lot better to have this glued back down.
Thank you very much for reading. This is a chance to own a very rare version of a MK5 Prelude and I will listen to any offers.
