Since purchasing the car in March 22 on 95k miles I have had the following work done:
- new Cambelt and water pump done
- OSR brake caliper
- new spark plugs
- new rear suspension coils
- new rocker cover
- new fuel pump
- new EVAP valve, canister and pipe
- wheel alignment
- wheel refurbished and diamond cut
- new front headlights
- NSR ABS sensor replaced
- OSR door lock replaced
- New Pirelli P Zeros on front (nearly full tread)
- Rear tires have good tread
- new exhaust
- new rear pads and discs
- new OSR caliper
- had a significant dent repaired to high standard
Have kept all invoices from services and have the original VW logbook with service stamps. Servicing and repairs has largely been carried out at SJB Autotech who are VW specialists. Has been serviced and MOT'd every year. I have only covered 16k miles since owned and often the services have been only 3k miles apart.
Car drives very well and has been tuned to roughly 240/250hp by previous owner.
Very original spec with tartan cloth and 6 speed manual gearbox.
Paintwork is in very good condition in the rare metallic blue and no signs of rust on the paint.
Has climate, ESP/traction, electric windows, rain sensing wipers, DAB, Electric Sunroof, trip computer, 2 keys, pioneer touchscreen.
The roof lining will need full replacement by the new owner as this has, very typically of all MK5 Golfs sagged.
The car is excellent and I am reluctantly selling to free up some space. Most MK5 GTI's are poorly maintained as they get older, whereas this has had no expense spared.
