Car requires engine rebuild or replacement. Cylinder 2 has low compression and bore scoring. I'm selling my sons Focus which he purchased from a Ford main agent in March 2023 with a 3 year Ford warranty. The car has full Ford annual service history. 6 weeks after the warranty expired this year the engine started misfiring. Cylinder wall scoring and low pressure was diagnosed on cylinder 2. I have been advised the engine requires a rebuild or replacement but is now out of warranty and disappointingly Ford won't help us ! The car is otherwise in excellent condition. The car might suit a mechanic who can complete the necessary repair work themselves at reduced cost.
