Description
Triumph TR6 1973 2.5 PI 150 bhp with overdrive
Milage . 87000
Triumph TR6 CR UK supplied with the ever increasingly difficult to find, factory overdrive. Is offered with a genuine 87000 miles and has six owners from new. It is an immaculate example of this well loved British classic sports car, one of Britains finest open-top sports cars.
Built in May 1973, as evidenced by the Motor Heritage Certificate, it represents a period of construction for these sports cars that is generally regarded as the ultimate expression of its purity.
Initially ordered by British Leyland, it then began a period of its ownership in Falkirk, Scotland before undergoing a comprehensive, ground-up rebuild between the years of 1992 and 1998.
During this period the entire suspension, running gear, chassis and engine were meticulously rebuilt, and finished with a new Heritage shell, in British Racing Green, representing a comprehensive "nuts & bolts" rebuild, in the true sense of the words.
Renown classic car restoration company SherwoodRestoration Ltd recently described the car as being extremely well cared for and as driving very strongly and of a concourse condition.
It represents not merely a wonderful weekend driver, but also an excellent future investment opportunity.
Much of the substantial history, almost two inches deep, comprises of bills and receipts for parts and labour, which dates from the early Nineties, more or less following its restoration. Much of which is imported by renown specialists, Rimmer Motors.
